No, the War Between the States begun at 4:30 a.m. on April 12, 1861 was initiated by Southern aggression, despite the appellation for the Civil War preferred by Lost Causers as, the War of Northern Aggression.
But the war that has been waged against the eleven states that seceded and several other south of the Mason-Dixon line at least since five minutes after its native son, yet still a Democrat, Bill Clinton evacuated the White House just after High Noon on January 20, 2001, has been one born of Northern and West Coast aggression. What on God’s Green Earth is this South Carolina Gamecock presently roosted atop Stone Mountain of Georgia talking about?
The latest battle in the Yankees’ aka Liberal Democrats’ unrelenting attack against Southern voters refusing to give them electoral votes for Obamacare, higher energy and food prices and appeasement of Islamist terrorists was initiated by the Washington Post in the wee hours of October 7, 2014 with the following salvo, i.e. Why the South is the worst place to live in the U.S. – in 10 charts.

Ferdman (notice the lack of creativity in the creation of aliases?) constructs ten supposed Southern strawmen and proceeds to destroy them with exaggerations, false assumptions, hasty generalizations, false dichotomies, post hoc and ad hoc non-arguments, reverse burdens of proof, non sequiturs and begged questions.
In other words the usual substitutes for logic and reason regularly employed by whom? Yankees aka Liberal Democrats wherever located.
Conveniently left out of the 10 supposed definitive charts was the argument-ending fact of the last 40+ years that finds The South as the #1 destination of transient Americans, including Blacks returning to the homeland of their youth or their extended families. Also not mentioned is the region that leads the nation now, and for the more than recent past in, wait for it…Job Growth! That would be, er ah, wait for it…Dixie!
Instead we are told that we should prefer to live with rich retired Yankees in New Hampshire and Vermont? Even if we could afford it, would we choose to live in ice and snow for half the year. And oh yes, we should desire to be among the more educated of course. These would be the Ivy Leaguers that devised the failed Liberal Democrat policies that have purt’ near wrecked, or in terms preferred by Columbia and Harvard’s Barack Obama (enrolled as foreign student Barry Sotero at Occidental?), “fundamentally transformed” the USA.
But Mike, the healthy lifestyle? Are cold weather and higher taxes required to motivate one to get out and walk? But, but Mike, its safer up there? Did an earthquake relocate Chicago to Tennessee? Didn’t think so. And but for a Republican Confederate sympathizer named Giuliani, New York City would bury more murder victims than Obama’s former consigliere-come-Windy-City-Godfather Rahm Emanuel.
Are people really safer in the Gun-free zones of Columbine and Sandy Hook? No. Rather they are safer with a right to carry in The South equal to that of Hollywood moguls and D.C. pols, except as per the latter, Hank Williams Jr.’s Country boys can survive at a higher rate than a Secret Service so ruined by Liberal Democrat-rule that they leave the front door open at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
And speaking of Hollywood, thanks to draconian taxes and not-so-Golden, California state government consensual sex regulations, Atlanta and other points south are fast becoming to movie production what it has already become to automobile manufacturing in the non-bulldozed-over versions of Detroit in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C. (BMW), Chattanooga, Tenn. (Volkswagen), and Montgomery, Ala. (Hyundai).
One would think that Democrats would be content with their recent electoral victories that re-elected failed Democrat senators and Obama, ran millions over-50 out of the work force to government dependency and opened the border to new illegal immigrant and Ebola voters. But no, Democrats have drunk the Axelrod-Obama clear-the-field Kool-aid that addicts them to defaming their conservative Republican opponents. Thus their felt need to libel and slander the region that refuses to swoon when Barack’s lips move or eat when Michelle points their children to the arugula desert during school lunch time.
No coincidence that the Northern and West Coast Left’s Messiah and his Democratic Party get few votes where? In The South.
